Meet The Team

Joe Barton

Founder

When Joe was a teenager, he remembers telling his parents that someday he'd help tell the world about the "apple remedy" that saved his dad's life. Over 20 years later, he's now helped over a million people overcome various health problems using safe, natural remedies. A former accountant, Joe founded Barton Publishing in 2004 from a tiny basement closet-office with no windows. He and his wife live on an acreage outside of Sioux Falls, SD and have four sons. He enjoys adventure traveling, supporting charitable ministries with an eternal mindset, playing golf and hockey, and is a long-suffering fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Scott Saunders, MD

Medical & Nutrition Advisor

Dr. Scott graduated from UCLA Medical School, became board-certified in family practice, and began working at the Santa Barbara county health clinic. He soon grew frustrated with traditional medicine which just treats symptoms, so he started his own practice and is now the medical director of The Integrative Medicine Center of Santa Barbara, where he looks for the root cause of illness - to address it. He enjoys many activities with his wife and their 13 children, and two grandchildren.

Webinar Host

Leslie gets to listen in on the heartbeat of Barton by hosting our weekly customer webinars with Dr. Saunders and Joe Barton. They discuss various health topics, with a primary focus on Type 2 and Q&A. She and her husband Tyler currently live in South Dakota with their children, Jude and Selah. Leslie enjoys learning & reading, and has an interest in food, fitness, and healing.
